is it possible we could mention or link to a website which tells you about clients for scorpion? I am stuggling to find one off the shelf.

Currently there isn't any that I know of, except for the "astroget" program (which is included in this repository), but that is a command-line program (like curl).
For an actual browser, the "Dschubba" program (also in this repository; in the gui/browser directory) is intended to be, but it is incomplete (and does not yet implement any protocol).
If anyone else mades any, you can mention them in here so that I can then add them into the README.md file or into another file.

I've started work on adding support for scorpion in my own WIP SmolNet/alternative protocols browser Breeze. Just a subset of the spec implemented currently but it seems to be enough to render scorpion://zzo38computer.org properly.
