"When you have strict censorship of the internet, young students cannot receive a full education. Their view of the world is imbalanced. There can be no true discussion of the issues."
– Ai Weiwei
Vidar was a modified version of the Glype Proxy system for use in areas with limited Internet access and heavy censorship. It aimed to be easy to use and install, providing users with access to websites such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Steam which are typically blocked due to censorship or quackademic "duty of care" policies.
The project was ultimately successful and functional many years ago, but is now almost certainly dysfunctional, redundant and present here only for archival purposes.
