The toolchain shouldn't change nearly as much as the deps, otherwise we should maybe consider using something like https://github.com/marketplace/actions/nix-update-action |

I'm gonna look into the fmt discrepancy too
I don't know how to properly override crane hooks, so prepend the nightly rustfmt onto PATH in the devShell.
