Problem loading .pvd file

I have a .pvd file (size 6,5 kB) , which I want to load with jupyterview. However, upon opening the file it gets stuck on loading forever. Other file formats such as .vtu load just fine, since I have the same data in .vtu as well. If I open the .pvd file in Paraview, it does work and it shows everything correctly. I would greatly appreciate any help or advice on how to fix this :)

In browser console I see 2 errors appear
VTKXMLFileReaderWasm.js:9 Unsupported file.
and
Uncaught (in promise) : {message: 'FS error', stack: '<generic error, no stack>'}

but paraiew somehow managed to open them
