Join us for an exciting weekend of innovation, collaboration, and learning at our AI Hack-A-Thon! Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting your journey in Artificial Intelligence, this event is for you.

This event is free to attend! We believe in keeping technology accessible to everyone. While attendance is completely free, we appreciate any contributions you can make to help us cover event costs and support future events - donate what you can (please credit "Oklathon" as your team when donating).

Oklathon: Event Itinerary

Here is the schedule for the Oklathon weekend. We're excited to see what you create!

For Volunteers

  • Friday Setup: 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM
  • Sunday Teardown: 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

Friday, July 18th (5:30 PM - 7:30 PM)

Kick off the weekend with a meet & greet, an introductory talk to set the stage, and an idea breakout session to form teams and brainstorm projects.

  • 5:30 PM: Doors Open & Check-in
  • 6:00 PM: Welcome & Kickoff Presentation
  • 6:45 PM: Idea Pitches & Team Formation
  • 7:30 PM: Venue Closes for the Evening. Teams are encouraged to grab dinner together at a nearby venue (self-funded) to connect and plan their projects.

Saturday, July 19th (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

The main event! Dive deep into your projects. We’ll have guest speakers throughout the day sharing insights on diverse AI & ML topics and real-world use cases. Mentors will be available to help you troubleshoot and refine your ideas.

  • 8:00 AM: Doors Open, Coffee & Snacks
  • 8:30 AM: Day 2 Kickoff & Announcements
  • 9:00 AM: Hacking Begins
  • 11:00 AM: Guest Speaker / Workshop Session
  • 12:30 PM: Lunch Provided
  • 2:00 PM: Guest Speaker / Workshop Session
  • 4:00 PM: Afternoon Snack & Coffee Refill
  • 5:45 PM: Closing Remarks & Prep for Sunday
  • 6:00 PM: Venue Closes

Sunday, July 20th (8:00 AM - 1:00 PM)

Continue hacking, finalize your projects, and prepare for presentations. This is a great opportunity to put the finishing touches on your creations and get last-minute advice. The day will culminate in project showcases where you can share what you’ve built and learned.

  • 8:00 AM: Doors Open, Coffee & Snacks
  • 8:30 AM: Final Hacking & Presentation Prep
  • 10:00 AM: Project Submissions Due
  • 10:30 AM: Project Presentations & Demos Begin
  • 12:00 PM: Judge Deliberation & Awards Ceremony
  • 1:00 PM: Event Concludes

  • Guest Speakers: Learn from industry experts and academic leaders discussing cutting-edge AI and ML concepts and applications, or demo your project live!
  • Challenge Tasks: Sprint through the challenge tasks!
  • Project Building: Work solo or team up to develop an innovative AI/ML project. It's all about learning and creating – from concept to a working prototype!
  • Networking: Connect with fellow enthusiasts, potential collaborators, and mentors.
  • Support & Mentorship: Get guidance and support from experienced mentors throughout the event.
