Using open api 3.1 - Putting annotation - `@field:Schema(enumAsRef = true)` - on a property does not result in `$ref`

It started after updating spring-doc dependency in some project. Here is springdoc-openapi issue I created. It contains minimal reproducible example project with springboot - kotlin.

I created a draft PR which contains failing tests. The test fails only for open api version 3.1. However the test is passing for 3.0

Thanks a lot for reporting this issue and for providing a clear test case to illustrate it — that made tracking it down much easier :)

The fix ensures that annotations are now correctly taken into account when resolving the schema, addressing the inconsistency you highlighted. The fix: #4969
