Summary of Changes
Hello @nanjiangwill, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!
This pull request provides an additional fix related to the _import_static_state
issue by enhancing the release_memory_occupation
function. It ensures that memory release operations correctly default to releasing both weights and KV cache memory when an empty list of tags is supplied, improving the robustness of the memory management system. A minor code cleanup is also included.
Highlights
- Enhanced Memory Release Robustness: The
release_memory_occupation
function now robustly handles cases where an empty list oftags
is provided, ensuring that default memory types (weights and KV cache) are released. This prevents potential issues when an empty list is passed instead ofNone
. - Code Clean-up: An unnecessary
import subprocess
statement was removed from therelease_memory_occupation
function, improving code hygiene.

Code Review
This pull request fixes an issue where an empty list of tags was not handled correctly in release_memory_occupation
and resume_memory_occupation
. The changes add checks for an empty list in both methods, and also remove an unused import. My review includes suggestions to use a more Pythonic and concise idiom for these checks.
