Description
Thank you for implementing the "Workspace" feature. While it’s a valuable addition, the current design can be confusing for users. I’d like to propose enhancements to make the interface more intuitive and streamline access to common tasks.
Introduce a Separate "Open" Button for File and Directory Operations
The "Workspace" button currently opens a menu with "Open File" and "Open Directory" options. Including these under "Workspace" is confusing, as the term suggests a broader scope. Add a new "Open" button to the interface that includes the "Open File" and "Open Directory" options. This would separate file/directory operations from the "Workspace" functionality, making the interface more intuitive.
Redefine "Workspace" to Include "Files" and "Text Message" Options
The main screen currently defaults to a "Default Workspace" focused on directories, which overlooks other common workflows like text-based encryption. Update the "Workspace" button to include two options: "Files" (for file-based operations) and "Text Message" (for text-based encryption/decryption). Additionally, replace the "Default Workspace" on the main screen with two default tabs: "Files" and "Text Message." This would provide immediate access to these core functionalities. And If a user accidentally or intentionally closes the "Files" or "Text Message" tab, they would be able to open them from "Workspace" button.
Thanks for considering these enhancements.
Best Regards!
