DOS MIDI player for speaker (type 0)

I made this many years ago (now 20, and god, it keeps counting...) to be able to play classical MIDI piano files on my very basic laptop which only had a speaker for sound output. It's funny to see the source code having mixed language variable names.
Here is a translation for the output while the song is being played:
