[Bug]: intermittent crashing

Bug description

was working OK. Dragged ~/Lib?App Support folder into place, then installed QS, as the reverse method was causing a crash all the time. This was working for a few hours last night, but today QS is crashing and the menu bar icon is there but cannot be seen. Tried to select prefs or other tabs, they select but don't open and usually causes QS to crash.

Steps to reproduce

1. invoke QS
   2.key shortcut to prefs or other tabs

Expected behavior

QS to work on invoke.

I had uninstalled some older Plugs that I don't use and QS was working very well.
AppleMailPlugIn.154.
EmailSupport.9B.
PathFinderPlugIn.B1.

But I restarted and I'm back to the invisible icon and non-function.

Weird, sorry you're having trouble.

Any difference if you change your interface to Bezel Classic (and then restart)?

next time QS lets me in, I'll try that. Very weird. Never had an issue like this.
Just tossed caches to see if that would help.

here is the weirdest of weird. I have almost the same triggers etc, installed on my 2013 MacBook Air.
It is running Sequoia via OCLP with no issues at all with QS.

here's another weird thing about it. when QS does work, it takes time for QS to "settle" in, as it were.

When did this start? And when was the last time it was working normally?

I just updated to Sequoia from Monterey a couple days ago. So this is new install as I wiped my drive clean and installed Seq.
Though I'm not fully up with my apps yet. I'd like to try and figure this out before I go further.

I just wiped QS off the drive and all it's elements. Ran disk first aid, restarted and re-installed from scratch.
Not importing anything from my old ~/User/App Support/QS folder.
Let it run overnight unadorned. If that works then I guess I'll have to re-do all my custom triggers etc from scratch.
I can't think of anything else to try other than a total reinstallation of Sequoia and apps again.

I added back and set the Window interface as well as the normal Activation shortcut I had been using.
I suspect QS doesn't like the mnemonics I dragged in, even though they had been working 3 days ago in Monterey.
I dragged in my custom triggers later and see how that flies.

OK, Custom Triggers not giving any issues.
So I assume it is the mnemonics plist.
I'll try that tmrw. At least I have a 99% function now.

i have been having this problem for, well, over a year? It was Montery on an Intel MacBook Pro would crash every now and again. Now I am on a Mac Mini with M4, and sequoia 15.6, and I have to restart it every time I come back from sleep. Every time. I will see the QS logo appear and disappear what looks like twice (happens fast) and rarely get the "please donate" screen. The only customization I have is to use option -space to trigger.

@ffr2822 consider submitting a bug report and crash log. EDIT: by bug report I mean creating a GitHub Issue.

was working for about 10 days with no issue. Installed a couple dozen audio plug ins that have previously worked fine and not caused any grief to QS.
But this am, QS isn't working, and the menu bar looks like this.

I uninstalled everything from yesterday. No change. I deleted the mnemonics plist from AppSupp/QS.
Ran DFA and Onyx. No change.
It seems that QS is getting corrupt after some time, by what I dunno.

Dunno why, but there is no Crash Report in Console.

dunno, can't get into prefs to change it. all I have is the menubar app as you see without being able to access or trigger it.
