Why are you starting this discussion?Question What GitHub Actions topic or product is this about?Actions Runner Discussion DetailsHello GitHub Community, I’m urgently seeking help because GitHub Actions has been completely disabled for my personal account—even my self-hosted runners are blocked—and I cannot use Codespaces prebuilds either. I have an active GitHub Pro subscription and rely on these features for my daily development and work-related projects. It’s possible that I exceeded my Actions minutes quota while working on a large project, but I never expected a total shutdown of all workflows. What’s worse, I’m unable to run Actions even in repositories that aren’t mine—repositories where I have explicit permission to trigger workflows. This completely prevents me from fulfilling critical tasks for my employer. I cannot fully utilize the Pro privileges I’ve paid for, and my productivity is severely impacted. Has anyone faced this issue? How can I escalate my request to restore Actions and Codespaces prebuild access as soon as possible? Any guidance on speeding up support’s response would be greatly appreciated. I’ve already created a support ticket (https://support.github.com/) and was told the team is currently overloaded and to wait. It’s been three days with no update, and my workflows and Codespaces prebuilds remain fully blocked—even in repos where I have explicit permissions to run Actions. This is critically impacting my work projects. Any suggestions for escalating or getting a faster response? Thank you! |

Update: Problem Solved! ✅ GitHub Support has resolved the issue. It turned out to be an automated abuse detection system that flagged my account for manual review, not a billing or quota issue. They've manually cleared the restrictions and I now have full access to GitHub Actions and Codespaces prebuilds again. Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions and support! For anyone facing similar issues - persistence with GitHub Support does pay off, though it may take several back-and-forth messages to get to the right team. GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners are working perfectly now! 🎉 |
