If your student ID is in Arabic, I recommend you translate it into English and then fill in your billing information and your GitHub profile with your translated full name exactly as it appears on your academic transcript. The automated system is unable to correctly read languages that don't use the Latin alphabet. For further reference, take a look at this discussion, as this user solved it by doing this: #164969 |

Hey! I know how frustrating that can be. A few things that might help: Make sure you're using your official university email (like one ending in .edu or your school’s domain). Your student ID should clearly show your name, the university name, and a current date or term. If your ID is in Arabic, try adding a quick English translation or note. Also, try submitting the form in a different browser, sometimes that actually works. If none of that helps, it’s best to reach out directly to GitHub support: https://support.github.com/contact Hope it gets sorted soon! |

Hello everyone, I have just got approved and I wanted to share my experience that might help if all the solutions didn't work. I have actually translated my ID card but my billing information was still in Arabic. But I got the approval message once I turned on the two-step verification. It was somehow tricky as Egypt didn't appear in the list of supported regions for verification so I have tried the Microsoft authenticator app and then logged out and logged in again and started the application and everything became fine |

I faced the same issue where my GitHub Student Developer Pack application was repeatedly denied, even though my documents were valid. Here's what I did to finally get approved: Translated my Student ID to English – My original ID was in Arabic, so I submitted an English version (translated). Enabled Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) – I went to GitHub Settings → Security and enabled 2FA using Microsoft Authenticator, since my country (Egypt) wasn’t listed in the default options. Updated GitHub Profile – I made sure my GitHub profile name matched my academic documents (in English). Updated Billing Information – Added basic info under Billing → Profile. Logged Out and Back In – Then reapplied. After doing these steps, my application was finally approved |
