Hi GitHub Education team,

I recently submitted my application for the GitHub Student Developer Pack and wanted to ask how long it typically takes to get reviewed. I’ve provided the required documentation (student ID / proof of enrollment, etc.) and followed the guidelines.

I’m just wondering if there’s a standard review timeframe, or if there’s any way to check the current status beyond the email confirmation.

Also, are there any common reasons applications get delayed or rejected that I should be aware of in case I need to reapply?

GitHub Student Pack applications are usually reviewed within 7–10 business days. You'll get an email once your application is approved or if more info is needed — be sure to check your spam folder too.

Common reasons for delay or rejection:
Missing or unclear student proof (name, school, date)

Expired documents

Personal email used without supporting documents

If your application is rejected, you can reapply immediately after fixing the issue (e.g., uploading clearer or updated documents).
