I haven't looked at the code in particular, but here are a couple of simple tips that will make the repo more user-friendly:

• Add the dependencies your project uses.
• Try to structure your Python modules in a package format.
• Add installation and usage instructions to the README.md.

These three things will really help others and you in the future when using your tool.

PS: By the way, if there's no particular reason for having the repo in template mode, I would suggest disabling it.
