We've been following an unwritten (but discussed synchronously on several occasions) rule that the schema should only cover configuration options which are discussed in the spec.
This PR codifies that. It also includes
semantic-conventionsas a source for configuration options, which is meant to accommodate instrumentation configuration. See PR #91 for discussion.
