Describe the issue you're reporting

otlptranslator v1 includes changes to the default name translation behavior to make its behavior more consistent across projects. Because this could cause metric name breakage for users relying on the old behavior, it added two new configuration options to give those users a fallback. We need to expose those configuration options to users via the config structs and files.

This must be done in two steps so that the loki modules can pick up the prometheus changes

• Fix prometheus modules first
• Update loki

Label sanitization is already toggleable by a flag (not a config option), and otel collector never did underscore preservation, so that toggle is not needed. Closing as noop.
