• side effect of generating the PDF with ABAP code: easy version compare, rollback, use existing transport routes/change management

• plus if the ABAP system is running, it can generate PDF. No need for network connectivity or uptime/SLA of cloud services

• no need for Java sidecar

• probably fast, as it does not have to waste seconds on network traffic

• safer than cloud(?), as data does not leave the system
