The AGPL was chosen so that people can't create derivatives for public use without sharing the source of those works.

Questions:

  1. How do we fulfil our requirement to "offer [the remote relay server's] source to those users in some way"? Since we will be using the version on GitHub, is it being here and public sufficient?
  2. I'm a little hazy on some copyright dates. The project was only imported to git in 2020. Is this when development of this version started, or is it older? If so, do we have the years in which it was worked on?

@ctoth and @tspivey could we get your input on this?

Come to think of it, given we are only now releasing this under AGPL, should all of the copyrights just be "2025 NV Access, Christopher Toth, Tyler Spivey"?

I suggest just using a range Copyright 2020-2025. Copyright isn't tied to licensing.
