Extension auto rename on native Firefox

Describe the bug
I send a python (xxx.py) file to my phone from my pc and the file is rename like this "xxx.py.txt".

2. Is the file displayed as ".txt" in the phone screen, or it changed when you download?

Hello. I have drag and drop from my pc the python file.

The file is rename in the mobile app, the server web and in my files on my phone

I cannot reproduce this (on chromium,linux ). maybe its something with your OS or browser?

Interesting. I couldn't reproduce this under windows+ Firefox. does it happen only on Transfer ?(f.e. does this problem appear in website like Google drive, or dropbox)

Does it do the same if you enter the transfer address in the android browser and upload a .py file there?

i have the same/similar issue (linux/firefox) although i cant reproduce the issue with .py files i can reproduce it with .conf files, the contents of the file doesn't seem to make a difference touch test.conf and uploading it to transfer through Firefox reproduces the issue for me. Interestingly enough i cant reproduce the issue from my android phone (chrome and Firefox) if i upload the file from there. It gets weirder as i can only reproduce the issue with native browsers and not any browser installed through flatpak. all the native browsers i tested with are firefox based (firefox, librewolf, mullvad), i have no idea if the problem would persist with a native chrome based browser as i don't have any and i use gentoo so its a bit of a pain to emerge one, hope this helps :) ,lmk if u want more info
EDIT: It should also be noted i cant reproduce the issue uploading to the server with curl

Thanks, @RCSoap , both of you are using Firefox on computer to transfer files to phone. I have no idea why it does work for me with dnf/firefox and work with flatpak/Firefox but not with native/Firefox.

can you use "copy as curl" on both a working and a non-working browser request to /api/upload, and check 1. if they are the same 2. if the non-working curl command do append. txt too

Here is the research:

No chance for DE/wayland protocol bug because @ZeyFoxOFF is using win11.

It's probably not related to the actual code in transfer server as I don't have anything that add the extension ".txt" without a fixed name (like paste.txt for pasted text).

The js code for upload is simply sending the form data, and we know that file.name is the real one, because its the one in the message

const formData = new FormData();
formData.append('file', file, file.name);
...
xhr.send(formData);

The only solution I can see is that the browser are sending different HTTP requests to the server. if you think about another one,let me know
