Extend clip-layer-types to cover all layer types #13573
Description
Motivation
The clip layer could be really helpful in a variety of circumstances. For example, I might want to visualise a proposed new development in an area whilst showing the surroundings. To achieve this, i'd need to clip other layers such as roads, areas (buildings) and points. Could clip-layer-types support more/all layer types to accommodate this?
Design Alternatives
We have also tried using the "within" expression but this is also limited to certain layer types.
Design
Extend the existing method to accept more layer types. It would be great if it could clip geometries - such as cutting off part of a road.
