Feature Suggestion: Auto-select Current Buffer in "Kill Buffer" Function

When the "kill-buffer" command is invoked, the default selection in the buffer list should be the name of the buffer the user is currently viewing. The user could still manually select a different buffer if needed, but the most likely choice would already be highlighted.

Would you like to temporarily set this default value to nil?
I am also having trouble with this issue.
I think the fundamental solution is to set the default value for the first candidate for completion or to fundamentally revise the UI for prompts.

Yes I'll make that change. Setting it to true by default was probably a little over optimistic.

I had a fix for this, but it felt like a hack that could break easily. Given that the solution seems to be to refactor prompt generally to make it simpler and more composable. Unfortunately that's not a simple task, but it seems unavoidable.

Well I'm pretty close to having a draft PR for this at any rate (and a bunch of other stuff for flex matching, more flexible API, easier customization, better support for history and a few other things).

Probably going to need some discussion though, as the changes are not insignificant.
