Upper case SQL keywords

I'm aware this is more of an odd request, but would it be possible to add a flag to allow generating SQL with upper case syntax? 😅

You can override the append method in a query compiler, to append transformed (uppercase) query parts.

Is .append only used for keywords, or also for other parameters? More specifically, do I have to be careful when applying the transformation, or can I just capitalize everything .append gets passed?

Only when they're injected into the query string ("immediate values") instead of being sent in the parameter list.

To cover this use case as well, you can override the appendImmediateValue and appendStringLiteral methods to use super.append instead of this.append after overriding append.

This is a workaround.

There's room to explore a performant way of optionally applying uppercase across the board for a dialect's lifetime.

You probably should also override compileUnwrappedIdentifier to use super.append.
