Enable Selection of Object Faces

Currently, JupyterCAD allows selecting edges of an object, but there is no support to select the face of an object. Adding the ability to select faces would significantly enhance the utility of JupyterCAD by:

• Allowing users to perform operations specific to faces, such as transformations, references, or custom manipulations. Related to Add Reference Option to Transform Controls #666
• Bringing functionality closer to other 3D CAD tools like FreeCAD, which supports face selection.

This sounds great, it has been on my mind since quite some time.

This may require changing the Open Cascade worker to provide us with faces information alongside edges, instead of a single full mesh. This will impact the way we create ThreeJS meshes.

Once that is done, it also requires changing the picking algorithm.

I believe it is doable but it's not trivial work, makes sense to put it under 4.0.0 milestone 👍🏽 We may remove it from that milestone eventually, if time/funding is not on our side.
