windows build not supported

Yeap, we use a lot of shell scripts in the project, which prevents us from being compatible with windows. Are you interested in helping with the adaptation?

tools/clean-python.sh is the only shell script I can see from a cursory look; are there more issues to converting to Windows other than that?
