Does it work to have a translation in your route? How is the locale picked?

yep you can have i18n in routes this way :)

Can you try editing the "pattern" under search, see example in:

https://github.com/glebm/i18n-tasks/blob/main/templates/config/i18n-tasks.yml

Probably won't search in the config folder by default.
