Safari: `escape` key ignored in empty search input

Description

The pages field picker can't be closed using the escape key when its search input is focused (which happens automatically when opening the picker).

Expected behavior
The picker always to close when pressing the escape key.

To reproduce

1. Create a pages field
2. Open the page picker
3. Press escape
4. Click outside of search input and press again

I can't reproduce the issue on Chrome & Firefox & Windows 11. Maybe this is Safari issue?

True, it works in Firefox and Chrome under macOS. Hmmm.

Edit: It's by the way the same with writer fields e. g. in open drawers (when editing a block).

I can reproduce the search input case with Safari (looks like Safari is trapping the escape event even when the search input is empty - other browsers one trap it when the search input is filled to clear it).

Hitting escape inside a writer field in a block drawer though worked fine.
