Dear leaflet and Leaflet-Geoman community,
over the past 10 years, I have been maintaining and working on this open-source library, and I love doing it. As it was hard for me to maintain constant releases last year, and I felt a LOT of pressure from the needs of this community and the actual work I needed to do to pay the bills. I thought a lot about how to make my open-source work more sustainable. After a few trials and errors, I landed on the following approach.
Go Pro
I decided to introduce a Pro version of this library with features needed specifically for commercial, large-scale projects. This Pro version includes additional features, like Pinning, Measurement, Auto-Tracing, Scaling, and a lot more.
The revenue of this is invested in further development of this library. Everything we worked on for the Pro version will yield improvements for this open-source version.
I'm convinced that this approach will benefit all open-source users, companies, and Geoman as a business.
