You could downgrade your ytdl-core package to version ^4.9.1 or ^4.10.0 and that should fix this:

npm i ytdl-core@4.9.1
If you don't want to downgrade...

As far as I know, there is a PR to fix this bug, so the next minor version should work as expected.

In the meantime, you could update your node_modules/ytdl-core/lib/utils.js file (although I don't usually recommend this). On line 63 replace /(^|[[{:;,])\s?$/ with /(^|[[{:;,/])\s?$/

I believe you've made a typo and put the backtick after the colon, which may result in people copying and pasting it in with the colon included, as I did the first time.

Either way, I suspect YouTube may have undergone yet another change, as the fix doesn't seem to be working for me. I've tried copying and pasting, manually adding the slash as well as the below and it still seems to throw the error.

sudo npm install -g ytdl@latest ytdl-core@"git+ssh://git@github.com:khlevon/node-ytdl-core.git#v4.11.3-patch.1"

Can anyone confirm that the fix still works? I'd really like to know if this is a "me issue" or not. I already spent several hours today trying to downgrade an app that was using the wrong version libraries that somehow got left behind in /usr/local/lib/, so it could very easily be that utils.js exists somewhere else in my environment.

And of course I was correct in that assumption. For some reason, even after numerous removals and reinstalls, ytdl had a copy of ytdl-core stored within it. Mine was in /usr/lib/node_modules/ytdl/node_modules/ytdl-core/lib/utils.js. I suppose maybe this was because I was putting ytdl before ytdl-core in my installation command, which is incredibly stupid functionality on Node's part.

It would seem that along with what @Drift91 has mentioned, ytdl and the other bois out there are facing a similar issue regarding export id, which makes me suspect that youtube has made some changes.
