This pull request updates the .gitignore file to be more comprehensive, ensuring that common temporary files, sensitive information, and environment-specific configurations are not committed to the repository.

  • Key improvements include:

    • Added a wider range of Python build artifacts, virtual environment folders, and test coverage reports.
    • Included common IDE and editor configuration directories.
    • Added OS-specific files for Windows and macOS.
    • Expanded the list of environment variable files (.env*) to prevent accidental commits of sensitive credentials.
