X window from one workspace drawn above another workspace

On a workspace I had Firefox open, while on another I had an instance of Emacs (emacs -Q for testing purposes). When switching back and forth between workspaces, sometimes (not always), the Emacs X window is drawn above Firefox.

Why would it be drawn over only half? Why is the emacs only on half the screen? When I see results like this it usually means the bad window... in this case Firefox... is frozen and not redrawing... or it could be that whatever is supposed to be shown in place of Firefox didn't redraw for its own personal reasons. Maybe it didn't get the redraw message.

I think you're missing the fact that both the Firefox window and the Emacs windows are X windows. I.e., the Emacs window on the right isn't a regular Emacs buffer since I started a new Emacs instance from a running Emacs (EXWM) instance.

I had Firefox maximized on one workspace and Emacs on another workspace (with half the width). It seems to me that the issue is that EXWM isn't managing these 2 X windows properly.
