Stickers don't honour your 'do not autoplay gifs/videos' setting.

This is a bit tricky to solve. The trick used to prevent gifs from playing is to use the thumbnail when inactive and the source when active. However, stickers send animated components for both the thumbnail and source.

Riot would have to ask the media repo for an additional thumbnail.

I guess we could either solve this:

• in the client with something like https://github.com/krasimir/gifffer
• in the media repo with something that can in some manner serve static versions of animated gifs

At this stage I think the thought-required to value ratio is too low to worry about it further, so I'd suggest shelving this for now.
