Media attachments sending as files instead of media

Steps to reproduce

1. Open any chat
2. Either paste in a piece of media (image, video, etc) or attach it with the paperclip icon
3. Press 'upload' on the confirmation screen

Outcome

What did you expect?

The image sends and is displayed as media, able to see images and play videos

What happened instead?

The image is attached as a file, which I must download to view
