Received mention in a thread, but mention didn't appear as a notification

Steps to reproduce

Unclear. Steps taken were: Receive mention in an encrypted room in a thread, where the room is set to 'Mentions Only' notification level

Outcome

What did you expect?

A red badge somewhere.

What happened instead?

I heard the ping noise but didn't find the room because there was no badge or count. My room list is also sorted by activity (unread first) and the room did not bubble up to the top like it should have, even without a badge.

The unread count for the app was unchanged (did not tick up to denote there's a message somewhere)
