Edit view shows wrong contents if the actual original message started with numbers

Steps to reproduce

1. Send a message containing "3. june seems fine"
2. Press "edit", the message is shown as "1. june seems fine", modify and save
3. Now your message has a different date than originally entered or displayed
4. Potentially very very bad consequences if you don't notice it

Outcome

What did you expect?

"3. june seems fine" remains so in edit view

What happened instead?

"3." gets replaced with "1."
