Project with no flow: screen stays black

Describe the bug
I decided not to use flow in my project, so I disabled it. After uploading the code to my cheap yellow display the screen became black. Nothing was displayed

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Create a working project WITH flow
2. Disable flow or create a project without flow
3. The project with flow works fine but project without flow gives black screen.

Expected behavior
Both projects with and without flows in them should work
