HW HTML Drafting Project

Finally, the clickable interface is here.

With this important and palpable advancement in project infrastructure, we hope that this new style of HTML-Drafting will become more accessible, improving the versatility of what is a truly marvelous Open-Source Adventure.

This unique and versatile foundation has been expertly laid in earnest humble vigor. The goal was simple: Build a program to accomplish HTML Drafting, build it to work completely offline, with no external dependencies, build it to work directly inside of any web-browser. Build not just a program but, build an entire project: A starting point capable of bringing Open-Source HTML Drafting to the forefront, exposing the secret utility that is HTML itself.

The value of HTML needed to become the business of every person, not only technical experts, academic specialists, or those with commercial interests.

Now, HW HTML Drafting is here, and it is design for everyone.

There are no special extra downloads that are required to make this program function. The full functionality is with the program exactly as it is in this repository.

This is how you can download the entire project right now, just in case you were not familiar with how GitHub works:

  1. Any person can download the HW HTML Project.
  2. There are no sign-ups necessary.
  3. You only need to locate the 'code' tab.
  4. Click on it, and then find the list item that says 'Download Zip'.
  5. Unzip the file on your local machine.
  6. The program is designed to be used on a desktop or laptop computer, with a keyboard and a mouse.
  7. Open the directories in your 'file-explorer' until you find a file called 'HW_project_online.html'.

END OF INSTRUCTIONS

The program is open, and it works, despite the name of that file, without ever connecting to anything online. You have a completely private offline program, and it is now yours.

The program is simple to use but, broad in potential usages: One person might use it to develop or mock up websites, and another might use it for personal note-taking or communications.

The choice is yours, and HTML Drafting has finally become a reality.

If you wish, you can try the following link to try an on-line demonstration of the program:

https://dckim.com/HW_project_online.html

Documentation is available from within the program. Use the 'F1' key. The 'TAB' key will now show a clickable interface which will input some clickable controls into the project space. They can then be moved around, and unwrapped, just like any object.

Best wishes,

This release is minimal. The foundation of the program is clearly demonstrated. A graphical menu has not been included as it would assume branch directions which would be ahead of the development progress. The feeling generally was that it was best to just go ahead with a minimal, foundation block type of release, and anyways I had posted some advertisements for DCKIM on Yonge Street between Sheppard Avenue and Finch Avenue utilizing the little-used and dilapidated community sign-boards.

This release coincides with the physical installation of an experimental, though simplistic, and independent project to promote local connection through linking private websites in a decentralized system, and where validation is chiefly ascertained through the 'QR-FLIP CONNECT' tack sheets. Community members can post their own QR links there, with space for a small icon, image, or text, and then others can come and do likewise. The idea is that participants will link each other's websites from their own, thus giving a local online ecosystem a method for developing.

All of the best wishes for the North York Community on Yonge Street.
