By running the homepage example in a containerized environment I'm getting the following error:

The containerized environment that I'm using is ubuntu:18.04 image with the following packages installed: libmongoc-dev, libbson-dev.
Is there some kind of setup that I'm missing?

@fusillicode I had that same problem in an environment outside of a container running ubuntu 18.04 but fix it by installing these packages

sudo apt install libmongoc-dev libmongoc-1.0-0 libmongoclient-dev

it also helps if you define the logger used by mongoc
@logger = ... setup your file logger here as the default will send to STDOUT and if that descriptor is closed or being send to a non writable location via redirect it will fail
Mongo.logger = @logger
