Integration with Context

Hi, I'm a developer of the Context iOS app. Context lets you input sentences and lookup the words you don't know in them. You can then add those words, creating flashcards, and appending to a diary of your vocabulary learning journey. For paying users, the app syncs with a backend server.

I use 10ten Japanese reader and would love to add a feature where the word I've highlighted, along with the sentence it's contained in, gets exported to the Context server. If I create a pull request with this functionality, would it be accepted? Back in the day, I think the original rikaichan used to have an "export to a file" shortcut, but it seems like 10ten has removed that and now only has copy to clipboard. Correct me if I'm wrong! My hypothesis is that you may have removed this feature to keep the 10ten feature set more streamlined, which I can understand. In that case, my pull request might be outside scope. Please let me know!

I think that I may have remembered what happened to the "save to file" feature of rikaichan. Rikaichan was originally an add-on only available on Firefox. When Rikaikun was created for Chrome, they had to drop that feature because Chrome extensions are not allowed to save to disk. Or maybe something similar.

So you can ignore my hypothesis from earlier and sorry for the confusion. Still interested in whether this feature is of interest though!

Hi @wrightak! Thanks for your message. Sorry for the delay—I've been travelling and am just settling back into work.

I'm actually working on something very similar to what you propose which I think would fill that gap. So, if you don't mind, I'd rather not merge something with potentially overlapping functionality just now. Sorry about that. Once I (finally) release this feature there may be ways to tweak it to integrate with Context better.
