The reason that react native was updated in the example app from 0.69.0 to 0.69.9 was this issue facebook/react-native#36635
This issue tracked the fix facebook/react-native#36739 and it was merged in this PR facebook/react-native#36759 and put into patch versions
This allows our example app to build with Xcode 14.3
