Ideas: When you don't know, don't say No

Quite often it seems like a failed request (timed out, failed response, whatever) will respond with a confident No you don't have any data.

I know I've planned a few bike rides, this was mid europe lap!

Gets much worse when you're telling me I don't have ANYTHING IN MY RETIREMENT ACCOUNT.
