JSON example to delete listings in bulk using JSON_LISTINGS_FEED via Feeds API

Does anyone have example JSON to delete listings in bulk using the JSON_LISTINGS_FEED feed type via the feeds API.

There are some great examples for updating inventory on the Listing workflow migration tutorial, but deleting listings is overlooked.

I've tried varations of the following JSON without any success:

{ "header": { "sellerId": "XXXXXX", "version": "2.0" }, "messages": [ { "messageId": 1, "sku": "9999999999", "operationType": "DELETE", "productType": "PRODUCT" } ] }

You can find a JSON_LISTING_FEED example here in the repository. L8 in particular has an example of deleting a listing.

Please feel free to let me know if you have any other issues after using the example.

Sorry, I'd not noticed there was a DELETE message in that example JSON. I was pretty close with the JSON, but need to remove the productType property like this:

I have a follow-up question: How can one utilize the "marketplaceIds" query param mention at https://developer-docs.amazon.com/sp-api/reference/deletelistingsitem-1 in a JSON_LISTINGS_FEED?

@ullrichp you specify the marketplaceIds via the Feeds API when creating the feed:

thanks for the answer. Does that mean that all "marketplace_id" fields mentioned in the migration tutorial (https://developer-docs.amazon.com/sp-api/docs/listing-workflow-migration-tutorial) are not necessary when working with the JSON_LISTINGS_FEED? Or does the marketplaceIds field from the create feed call over-rule the individual fields?

Hi @ullrichp

marketplace_id field in the feed body is necessary if it is a required selector for the attribute.
See the documentation here - Attributes cannot be deleted by name alone. The selector values identify which instance of attributes to delete.

You want to make sure the marketplace ID provided in createFeed is consistent with the ones provided in attributes.

The productType field isn't needed with operationType DELETE. It is needed for PARTIAL_UPDATE or UPDATE.
