Manifest v3 issue -> #264.

tl;dr Alpine.js uses eval, Manifest V3 disallows that (with no way to opt-in).

Edit: As of April 2025 the extension (Chrome support, component features, performance/state sync fixes) is available for Chrome https://alpinedevtools.com/extension

New features (eg. stores, warnings) are available as part of paid early access

A work around for this, for now, is to click the 3 dots and select "Keep for now"

Hi all, I don't use Alpine much and am quite busy but if you have some time to fill out the Future of Alpine.js Devtools Survey I've put together that will help get ready for the rewrite and look at ways to make this project sustainable.

I'm working on a new version of those DevTools.

It's based on this one, but migrated to a different tech stack, updated to Manifest V3, already with some bug fixes and performance improvements.

As you can see, the first release is currently waiting for review in the Chrome Web Store since yesterday, so hopefully it will be live later this week.

You can easily download the extension from the release section and then drag and drop the ZIP file into chrome://extensions/.

Before doing anything, make sure to turn on Developer mode in chrome://extensions/ (toggle is at the top right).
