tried to respect what was already here as much as possible. I have this as a separate branch as it is possibly unwanted.
I still have the comments in case you want to reimplement them take a look at nix build and see if it is satisfactory

well more than flake-parts fixed it, used naersk because that is easier |

This is fixed by doing flake-parts and devenv is optional I just used it to get nix develop working, mostly ready for merging, but I can see objections and discussion needed so marking as a draft.
