:set filetype could open language selector #316
Description
When you open a new file window, VS Code provides you with an option to select a language, which triggers workbench.action.editor.changeLanguageMode. It's not exactly the same behavior as Vim, but it might be nice to pop up the same window when you type :set filetype.
While we're there :new should open a new tab.
