Playing notes on Home Row is buggy on Linux

Using the home row as keyboard input has lots of latency on Linux.

Expected Behavior

Pressing asdf should play 4 notes back to back.

Current Behavior

It plays all 4 notes at once after a few seconds of delay.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Use Linux
2. Open the app
3. Press asdf and listen for the piano sound
