Alveo V70 PQ card unusable due to missing platform download

Hello,

we purchased an Alveo A-V70-P16G-PQ-G card but have not been able to use it for months now because support for this SKU just does not seem to exist.

Thus, I am creating this issue to hopefully get more eyes on this. Will update/close if there is any progress on the forums.

The problem seems to be two-fold:

1. The card was delivered with platform xilinx_v70pq2_gen5x8_qdma_base_2 installed, but there is no matching package for installing on the host provided for download anywhere. Thus, applications crash with this error: [UNILOG][FATAL][VART_XRM_ACQUIRE_CU_ERROR][Could not acquire CU]
2. Vitis AI 3.5 requires usage of XRT 2022.2, but that version does not recognize the card. For some reason support was backported to XRT 2023.1 but not 2022.2 branch: [2023.1] V70pq2 PCIe ID backport #7595

Hello,

there have been some developments in the forum thread linked in the first post. To summarize, cards with the PQ2 platform have been exchanged to cards with PQ platform. Furthermore, the Alveo V70 has been discontinued completely according to its product page: https://www.amd.com/en/products/accelerators/alveo/v70/a-v70-p16g-pq-g.html

The card with the PQ platform is working as expected for us.

I will let you decide whether you want to close this issue.
