Is the project alive?

I know the last commit is from a month ago, but the last "release" is almost 2 years old, i really want the project to be alive a new cross-platform C# IDE with support for Avalonia is just amazing.

I wonder the same, too. Does it able to replace Monodevelop for C# on Linux? Does it support Mono or only .NET core? Please let me know. Thanks.

Very nice that there is someone willing to maintain such an ambitious project. Looking forward for some kind of roadmap or plan of issues to make a new version.

@Seeker1437 Is there a comparison page for this project with JetBrains Rider? I'm just finding these two IDE's now; and am used to Visual Studio. I would not mind knowing project roadmaps because it is hard to know what will happen to Avalonia. Can you give some information about Avalonia's roadmap? What challenges they face? How they adapt with any Java projects or roadmaps? What will be the plan going forward? Thanks

Indeed it seems like a great project for an ultimate cross-platform C# IDE, I guess OPEN-SOURCE doesn't mean much if there's no people to support it well. If you want, there's "DotRush" extension for VSCode and VSCodium (a slightly faster and more secure version of VSCode) and this extension is actually lighter than the heavy C# Devkit.

I think the issue with people not supporting it well is that things now change so quickly that any investment is void in no time.
