[STOP CREATING DUPLICATES] YouTube is removing dislike count (causes snackbar error)

What's your question(s)?

It seems that YouTube is currently doing a gradual rollout of making dislike counts private (see the link below). I wonder if the dislike counts will still (a) be parsable by NewPipeExtractor, and (b) not crash the extractor?

(I have not yet found any videos with the dislike count removed to test)

a) I don’t think dislike counts will be parsable. If they are, anyone can still easily see them, youtube doesn’t want that

b) If they just change like/dislike counts, it shouldn’t crash. I’ve been noticing the error (#6669) in a lot of videos recently, it started around when they announced removing dislikes, so that could be it? Everything else still works, NewPipe just can’t parse the counts

Off-topic opinion: YouTube should at least add a Clickbait vote button and show the tally publicly. Users could then learn to avoid videos that receive over a certain % of clickbait votes.

[SOMEWHAT RELATED] Is it possible to fetch and integrate https://github.com/Anarios/return-youtube-dislike API to get the dislike count. On their website https://www.returnyoutubedislike.com/ they mention an interest in integration "with Youtube Vanced mobile app, if the devs will want to utilize our API" therefore I suppose they would be interested in allowing NewPipe to gain the same functionality.

On the README for return-youtube-dislike:

our backend will switch to using a combination of scraped dislike stats, estimates extrapolated from extension user data and estimates based on view\like ratios

Basically it doesn't look like that can get actual dislike counts

I suppose it's the closest possible to the actual dislike counts. Giving the users the choice to choose between no dislike-counts and guesstimated dislike-counts could be a solution.
