An auto option by default that chooses the video quality depending on the network speed.

The feature is not related to a problem.

Additional context

How will you/everyone benefit from this feature?

People will benefit this feature because they will no longer go through the hassle of changing every video's default quality (always 720p60) manually when the network slows down or when they have high speed internet and want to watch higher resolutions.

This issue has been open for years. I think it's about time you tried.

@SavageTheUnicorn whom are you referring to by "you"? Whoever that is, you do not have the right to demand work on NewPipe from anybody. NewPipe is free software developed voluntarily in the team's and contributors' spare time. If the lack of this feature bothers you so much, I invite you to try to implement it yourself. If you (or anybody for that matter) would like to give it a try, you're welcome to ask the NewPipe team any question, and we'll be happy to give you pointers.
