Brief Description

UrBackup is an easy to setup Open Source client/server backup system, that through a combination of image and file backups accomplishes both data safety and a fast restoration time.

File and image backups are made while the system is running without interrupting current processes.

UrBackup also continuously watches folders you want backed up in order to quickly find differences to previous backups. Because of that, incremental file backups are really fast.

Your files can be restored through the web interface, via the client or the Windows Explorer while the backups of drive volumes can be restored with a bootable USB-Stick (bare metal restore).

No it contains server and client, and I asked whether we should create two different packages, but nobody answered...

just updated with current head, but it needs some investigation as it was created > 3 years ago.

• create two packages for urbackup-server and urbackup-client
• update installation wizard for server (shared folder creation is not DSM 7 compatible yet)
• check for updates (urbackup and dependencies)

Tried, but the install script only provide the option to install server, no option to install client only.

That's what the current package is, but it installs the server and the client.
Client is command line tools only:

• blockalign
• urbackupclientctl
• urbackupclientbackend

separated packages are WIP...
